Started learning gamemaker! It's much easier to pick up than Godot in my opinion, could never wrap my head around that. also my brother knows a bit about gamemaker which helps

A screenshot of the Dragon Blazers Gamemaker testing ground, with the ugliest testing room anyone's ever made. Tilesets on the floor create patterns in different colours, and orange walls surround the place, and also spell 'HELLO' in the middle of the room. Half out of view, completely inaccessible to the player, is a smiley face constructed with those same orange walls. The player sprite, Dragon Blazer's Protagonist, stands in the top-left of the room with the camera focused on them

I've also made updated character sprites

A simple walking animation for the protagonist of Dragon Blazers. The sprites used are the same ones described before, but with the colours adjusted to be a little more cohesive A simple walking animation for the sister of the protagonist of Dragon Blazers. The sprites used are the same ones described before, but with the colours adjusted to be a little more cohesive

Haven't made updated ones for the mage yet, focusing on getting it to work. also i fully expect i'll change these again in the future, i just couldn't stand looking at really ugly placeholder sprites during testing

ive also been working on dialogue (select here for the wonderful life-saving resource im using) but im so tired so some of it isnt working probably because of a tired mistake im really tired

morning update: it was a tired mistake. syntaxxxxxx

ive got everything working now and i understand every part of this dialogue system that i'll need (there's some features i dont want to use), the only problem is trying to pause the player's animation or set it back to the idle of the corresponding direction when a dialogue is happening
